Ken was the key driver of the KJUS Innovation Team from 01.2014 to 09.2017 and played an important role in achieving the outstanding results for the success of the brand. Since the KJUS brand was established in 2000, innovation has always been a strong and a vital component of the brand's success. I met Ken at KJUS and have known him for many years now. As Head of Innovation, Ken always had very far-reaching ideas and was able to involve us in his projects with enthusiasm. Even if his ideas were 20 years in the future, Ken always managed to be focused and creative in pursuing these ideas and ultimately implementing them. He also managed to make unimaginable innovation such as the KJUS 7SPHERE collection - the most innovative and best ski collection of that time. With the Hydrobot technology and the smart ski wear system, Ken was way ahead of the competition. It is really fun to work in a team with Ken Kurtzweg and I hope there will be many more exciting projects with him.

I perceived the long-standing collaboration with Kenneth Kurtzweg as very stimulating and pleasant. Ken clearly identified user-needs and product features to be improved with regard to functionality and wearing comfort. This provides the crucial basis for setting the research approach to develop and investigate new concepts in lab conditions but also field studies. In a next step, Ken provided the industrial perspective with regard to implementation and user experience when discussing the outcome of the studies which is needed to translate scientific results into product specific features. I can proudly say that our successful collaboration resulted in new insights for winter sports wear and will continue to have an impact.

I have been working with Ken over the past 5 years. During this time, I got to know him as a strong, technical and commercial minded Innovation leader. This was especially evident when a consortium of 4 partners was bringing the KJUS HYDRO_BOT Jacket with osmotic membrane after a 2 year, out of a Swiss Innovation funded project, onto the market. Without his strong project management lead and will to succeed this would not have been possible. Ken will be an asset in any textile focused future oriented project. Good luck for your future Ken.
