My passion for outdoor technical apparel and footwear first took root after I finished my studies at the FH in Muenster and joined the sporting goods giant adidas. After 10 years working on the marketing side at adidas I decided to switch my focus to product development and moved to Jack Wolfskin where I led their apparel team. In this new role, and later on at Vaude, I initiated new product groups in skiwear, base layers and fast forward sports with a strong focus on introducing new technologies to better meet athlete’s needs.
A decade later in 2010, I joined premium sports apparel brand KJUS as Product Manager for skiwear. Shortly after joining I was asked to set up a new department with a sole focus on innovation. As Director of Innovation for KJUS I introduced game-changing and award-winning product technologies in skiwear through FREELITE, 7SPHERE, HYDRO_BOT and in golf through the PRO 3L Jacket I and II. I had finally found my true calling.

In 2017 I set up KK Consulting GmbH to support brands globally to introduce new product innovations into their creative process, with a focus on ultimately strengthening their brand positioning and helping them to secure long-term growth and profitability.
Having worked for 10 years in marketing at the start of my career, I have a unique perspective on the product creation process and understand the importance of storytelling to bring a product to life. I am well-versed in leading teams from inception of a product idea to roll-out, and am equally at home working alongside a team in a garment factory as I am working with a PR team on a product’s media launch.
Authenticity is important to me. I use my deep understanding sport physiology to ensure that product functionality and benefits to the user are real and without gimmicks.
Born in Maplewood N.J., USA, I decided to settle in Germany after falling in love with the country during a student exchange program at the FH in Muenster in the 1990s. I now live in Bavaria, Germany with my partner, 1 son and cat.
